The tiered levels of beach life in Anti Paros ! Pay 50 Euros for your back row, 60 for your in-between and 70 for a front row seat. Beautiful beach bar and resto with everything you could wish for but we walked either side preferring the dappled shade of ageing casuarinas growing by the edge of the water to give us exactly the shade we wanted and the people we like to watch. Families with kids having fun, pot bellied dads and Greek mums shouting “Προσεχε” “Be careful” to their exuberant little ones. Bits of Paros Marble in the sand. Stones with mica glittering in the sunlight.

We are in Agios Georgios on the furthest tip of the island which is quieter. Captain Pipinos gave us a wonderful dinner of tyrokafteri, kolokythia tyganita, chips to die for, whitebait and anchovies and a grouper grilled fish.
We explored a couple more beaches even the Nudist one – where it is official – take your clothes off here.

A climb to a vantage point admiring the perfect church and the amazing drystone wall. wildlife – well a hedgehog which we got very excited about, a covey of partidges and lots of cats.

The little town of Chora is buzzing and bougainvillead. The Venetian castle standing in the middle a testament to older fortified times. Now an outlet for jewellery and tourist shops with rest stations for husbands.
