Some of you may recall my post about my very active Butcher Bird. Here is La Familia-( slightly dynastic I know ) he is second in line from the left.

This young and rather large upstart was branded Trump for his anti social behaviour but since then, maybe because he heard about it, he has been proclaiming the injustice of this branding and singing for another.

I admit my decision was impulsive – I had probably been exposed to one too many headlines with Trump staring back at me – and named the bird without a second thought. But I cannot in all fairness give any bird or animal that name – that would be too cruel. No one deserves that image and certainly not anything in the natural world.

I know you will agree with me when you hear how much he is wooing me. Here he is :

It was his chattering at the end which indicated an indignation at the effrontery. I know that he is not a good boy at the moment but my hope is that with some strong female input and fair distribution of meatballs the lessons may be learnt. We have to live in hope for him and the rest of the world. So what is it going to be ?
