Jasper is a cyclone approaching the eastern seaboard of Australia and Woodlark island is part of a group of islands which we were hoping to visit. The winds and turbulent seas caused by Jasper prevented us from landing on the island. We swam in it instead which was wonderful and our lovely young Captain Matt decided we needed to move north and not south as was the plan. So about turn and up we go – but in completely the opposite direction of where we were meant to be going. The ship and its crew are in so many ways admirable. Able to assess risk and plan anew !
