Sista love, pebble fun

The distance is great but we have synchronised our separate lives to flow together for some minutes of most days. Being closer physically however has its own rewards as we sip Keo beer, plan the next meal, and stare out to sea, compare the lack of elasticity on our wrinkly skins, dredge memory banks for hidden names and places and fall into the water like 16 year olds remembering summers in Famagusta.

The thrill of discovering new places even after all these years never diminishes and yesterday we explored the beautiful beach of Pachyammos, which translates as thick sands, more of a dark sand with an amazing pebble background and wild flowers that come out of nowhere in the hard rock.

So the prospect of spending hours on this beach sifting through the black sand and the pebbles fills me with happiness – after all I was inspired by this art which I shared recently.

I have had such fun. Everything is as it was picked from the beach. Thank you Slike za vasu dusu for giving me the inspiration and my sis for showing me this beautiful beach.
