Normally I get dropped off at the radio on a Monday morning but C is away on a work trip. I could have driven in but I decided to walk and what a good idea it was. I walked through the Parklands. Soft rain was falling. I took my hat off and felt it on my face and arms. A gentle breeze. And then the Parklands offer me these amazing bromeliads with colours that truly need to be seen to be believed. Activity, nature and colour all coming together to give me the best start to this day and year.

We ate our bromeliad just the other day – our very own pineapple, grown from a top. They take about 2 years to mature !
