Two young ones have recently joined the menagerie. One is a goofy, fluffy chick which has taken to living near our compost in the hope of catching a worm or three.

Here is the goofy brush turkey chick. It seems to have been abandoned by its parents. I hear it scuttling in the rainforest garden and clearly takes refuge in an area which we cannot easily access. Any names for this one ?

The other is a young rather large butcher bird who is aggressive and chases away all the females and does not let them get some of the food I put out for them. I have to stand guard or hand feed the other members of the butcher family. And here he is. Butch, Bad and a little Mad.

Watch him come down to get all the food and then chase away the other birds. I thought momentarily of a suitable name. There is only one which comes to mind. His name is Trump.
