We travelled around this beautiful country with its lush vegetation, palm oil plantations and tea plantations through villages and towns. In the tea plantation we visited, there was a traditional long house for the workers.

The houses are mainly built from ironwood on stilts to allow ventilation in their hot and steamy climate. A bit like Queenslanders but what I loved about them is that they were all painted a turquoise hue, with pink walls and purple banisters or a sea blue with faded dusky pink.

Along the road market stalls with lots of Durian. Twas the season.

Tomorrow’s blog is a challenge – Can you do that !
