Bit of an arty end of the week. One of my favourite galleries and workshop area.
I pop in from time to time and this week was quite special as I came across the solo exhibitions of two artists Daniel Agdag, from Melbourne and the other one, Glen Skien, a Queensland Artist.
Glen uses collected fragments of paper, cardboard and old photographs in multiple boxes which evoke a great deal of nostalgia and questions about Australian identity, social histories, connections to place and urban mythology.

Quoting from the website about Daniel’s work it states “His highly detailed sculptural pieces have been described as architectural in form, whimsically antiquated in nature and inconceivably intricate. His finely detailed architectural and machinery models, and immersive miniature-urban-built environments are created entirely from cardboard.” Beautifully summed up I thought.

Loads of lovely artisan made gifts are available so its a great place to visit. The exhibition is on until 8th of June 2024.
