Apparently he was there with his family on the same day we were. Missed him ! Celebs are hard to pick out in the crowd as there was so much else to be concentrating on and I promised to bring you some more of the EKKA this year. My favourites are the quilts and some of the craft from the country women which are usually quite exquisite. Look at this cake !

I think I would be a little concerned about cutting into this Xmas cake. She looks as if she might chase me with a rolling pin.

For me however the best of this section were the Quilts on Display. Wonderful works of incredible detail and precision. A section which always make me think of my friend Laurel who is teaching quilting in the UK.

My favourite though was this one. A poignant depiction of a Fireman saving a koala in a forest fire complete with the soot on his uniform.

With all the wild fires raging around the world this summer in the Northern hemisphere climate change must never be far from our thoughts and actions.
