The month of May -is full of balmy sunshine and birthdays. So many celebrations and some commemorations. Niki, eldest sister, born in this month, no longer with us, but around a lot. Our father took off on the 22nd with Niki on his lips. Principal Beekeeper is entering his last year of the 60s. Best friend tries to forget hers and I remind her every year. Annoying right ? A number of other friends are feted too and it feels like an extra special time for all.

On an unusually wet day I set out for a walk in my hood and I realised how much I had missed it. Here are some of the moments I captured on that walk.

May, after Maia the Roman Earth Goddess or the Greek Fertility Goddess depending on your source, is spring for the Northern Hemisphere and autumn for the Southern Hemisphere. Even after a decade of living here this is the bit that I cannot quite get used to. Scant evidence of it keeps me on the right path and loving every day.
