David Attenborough is not going to be with us forever – but his voice- his timbre, I suspect will be, and this is exactly why he is such an icon and a fighter for the planet. BBC Earth have him hosting an interactive display in Earl’s Court with photographic footage from the seven continents of the world.

The footage is awe dropping and inspiring – his narration as always measured and heartfelt but also laden with messages about the fragility of the planet. The lengths to which photographers and crews go to get this footage is immense and noteworthy. Hope he has a good wet suit on !

The message was stark – climate change is galloping forward. We all need to act. We have to in every way we can for the sake of all of us.

Strangely the Australian continent was the one standing out on this world – a continent close to my heart.
